For this sheer reason Karan Johar would be pleased with the timing as he has a captive audience which is clamoring for according legal status to homosexuality and would like to search for points of connects with the film, and if the points of connect gel in a big way, then they could really emerge as the publicists for the cause of DOSTANA.

Abhishek Bachchan has been blessed with a rare sense of comedy, which has been exploited with panache in DOSTANA, and this could be the turning point for him in his career. DOSTANA could also provide the filmmakers to try out this pair in subsequent films as well.
